IBI offers remediation services to contain and recover contaminated groundwater plumes, preventing off-site migration of subsurface pollutants. We are experienced in the construction of interceptor collection trenches, Permeable Reactive Barrier (PRB's), air-sparge and fermentation trenches for groundwater remediation.
Interceptor trenches are an effective groundwater control method for waste management sites. Trenches may be installed without disturbing the wastes, and the withdrawal of groundwater recovers contaminants that have left the waste management perimeter. Industrial Builders utilizes a One-Pass method of construction. Our specialized equipment excavates and installs a perforated drain tube and permeable backfill in a simultaneous and continuous operation. The drainage tube is connected to a collection sump to allow pumping for treatment and disposal.
