Bridges
IBI’s experienced bridge team provides expertise in areas such as the building and maintenance of railroad bridges, pedestrian bridges, and highway bridges, constructed of timber, steel or concrete.
Foundations
Whether you’re adding on, changing the look or starting from
scratch, IBI is recognized as an expert in the field of foundation
construction. We build foundations that are supported on engineered
fill, piling, caissons, undisturbed sub grade or helical anchors.
Whatever the job requires, our team can provide a stable base for
a permanent structure.
Site Development
IBI provides site development
services for everything from quarter acre home sites to several
hundred acre industrial complexes. We install underground utilities,
perform site grading, develop roadways, prepare grade for rail
bed, furnish and install granular fill and surfacing, as well as
all other aspects of site preparation.
Flood Protection
IBI constructs flood protection
projects under extreme weather conditions and very tight time constraints.
We have the resources required to install emergency dikes in a
hurry. We also have the ability to coordinate the work to provide
protection when it is needed.
Train Wreck Recovery
When you need help at the
site of a train derailment very quickly, our fleet of heavy-haul
trucks can move large equipment to the site and have skilled operators
working within hours after the incident.
Pipeline
When your job requires river
crossing pipelines and water intake pipelines in both strong currents
and deep water, our crews can install steel, HDPE, concrete and
ductile iron pipelines where you need them.
MSE Walls (Mecanically Stabilized Earth)
IBI has experience installing
large panel/small panel and Hilfiker MSE wall systems. Our crews
are adept at installing very high wall systems with minimum impact
to the adjacent land, while balancing the use of imported aggregates
with native soil.
Invisible Walls
Constructing an “invisible” wall requires precise foundation
construction, as well as very close-tolerance steel fabrication
and installation. While an invisible floodwall is more expensive
than a conventional earthen levee or concrete floodwall, it allows
you to enjoy your river view unobstructed during non-flood periods.
Dams
IBI has built dams on rivers
from the Mississippi to the Mouse. We can build dams to replace
existing dams, or on a new site. Whether you need to maintain water
flow, want to create an impoundment or just need spillway repair,
our experience allows you to rest assured that the job will be
built right.
Cofferdams/Sheet Piling
When you need to prevent
water and/or soil from entering an excavation, or need to dig next
to an existing structure, IBI can provide a sheet piling or earthen
cofferdam to protect your site. We have all of the equipment
and materials to quickly install even the most difficult cofferdam.
Pile Driving
IBI has been installing piling for sturdy foundations for over fifty years. Whether you need Timber Piling, Tube Piling, H Piling or Concrete Piling, we have experienced crews and state-of -the-art equipment needed to install it for you.
Helical Anchors
From one or two anchors to hundreds
of them, we install resistance piers for underpinning and shoring
vertical loads. For lateral stability we install tie-back anchors.
Ongoing technical training assures you that our team will accurately
design anchors to work in your soils.
